Speaker’s Biography: Lin Lixia has been working for Beijing Qianqian Law Firm since 1997. She has been responsible for projects on rural women’s land rights and provided legal assistance for women who lost land. Ms Lin’s collaboration with lawyers, government agents, and courts has contributed to the changes in local customs and villagers’ agreements, the protection of women’s land rights by local governments and courts, and the advancement of legal institutions based on research and practice.
