Professor SUEN Yiu Tung, Associate Professor of the Gender Studies Programme at CUHK, has been invited to be a plenary speaker for the Hong Kong Sociological Association’s 25th HKSA Annual Conference, to be held this Saturday, on 7th December 2025. The panel ‘Sociological Research and Policy Impacts in Contentious Times’ invites three distinguished scholars to share their experiences in conducting impactful policy research, to delineate the changing institutional environments and political contexts shaping the definition of what counts as impact, and to discuss the challenges and empowerment of turning their research into an impact case.
