At the current rate, it will take over 100 years to achieve global gender equality, according to World Economic Forum. Prompt actions are needed to speed up the improvement process. What could we do better, and are there any successful examples to learn from? Join us at the launch ceremony of the “Her Rights: Money, Power, Autonomy” exhibition and the subsequent panel discussion on 5 Mar 2025 (Wed)!
The “Her Rights” exhibition is jointly organised by the Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong, Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Gender Studies Programme and the CUHK University Library. It discusses challenges and opportunities connected to economic gender equality. With timelines, it also tells the history of Sweden’s gender equality journey through progressive policy and reform, legal efforts and a strong women’s movement.
To kick off the exhibition and to celebrate the International Women’s Day, the launch event and subsequent panel discussion has been arranged. Please see below the event details:
